Standing Boy representing Autumn from the 'Chelsea Seasons'

Soft-paste porcelain, slip-cast, and painted overglaze in turquoise blue, green, flesh pink, pink, red, purple, and black enamels and gilt. The unglazed base has a large central ventilation hole and three patch marks. The figure stands on a low, rounded base decorated with scrolls at the front, and a tree trunk and low vine bocage on either side. The boy stands on his left leg with his right leg relaxed in front of it. He holds his hands in front of him squeezing grape juice into a cup. He wears a black wide-brimmed hat, a pink jacket with gold edging and buttons, a white shirt, yellow breeches with polychrome floral decoration, white stockings, and black shoes with turquoise pompoms. The scrolls on the base are picked out in turquoise and gold.
