History note: Perhaps from the Lawrence & Woodburn collections, as were those in the B.M. - a similar no. appears on 734*3b, to that on Christ before Pilate in the B.M.

Method of acquisition: Given (1912-02) by Newton Robinson, C. E.
Formerly catalogued as 'attributed to Aert Claesz'. One of a group of designs for stained glass roundels. Originally joined to no. 734*3b but separated by Miss Lewisohn in 1979 when they underwent conservation.
