Late Medieval maiolica fragment of a relief from a jug, with a face of a bearded man, painted in black and green.
Pale yellowish-buff earthenware, moulded in relief with the face of a bearded man; concave on the reverse. Painted in black with a little green at the edges.

This mask fragment was probably attached to a jug made in Orvieto or possibly Todi (Umbria), although given its provenance, the former is more likely.
Decoration composed of high-temperature colours ( black and copper-green)
Moulding in relief : Pale yellowish-buff earthenware, moulded in relief decoration, painted in black with a little copper-green at the edges.
