Description

Pinkish buff earthenware. The upper part of the exterior is lead-glazed; the interior and rim of the exterior are tin-glazed off-white. Painted in very dark manganese appearing black, black and copper-green.
Shape 40. Circular with deep sides, rising upwards in a gentle convex curve to the widest point and then upwards steeply to the rim, which curves inwards; the base is flat and projects slightly.
Inside, within two black concentric circles, there is a knot with green squiggles on the arms and in the spaces between them, black Vs and green trefoils with two black wedge-shaped marks above each. Below the rim are a broad green band and a narrow black band.
