Fragment of a broad-rimmed bowl
Pale red earthenware, tin-glazed on both sides and painted in blue.
Four sided with the outer curved edge on one side and part of the well on the other. In the well, part of a row of C-scrolls, a narrow and a wide band; on the rim, a narrow band, part of a border of stylised foliage, a narrow band and a wide band. On the reverse, a crossed rhomboid.
History note: Purportedly purchased in Siena by F. Leverton Harris.
