Maker: Unknown
Pale red earthenware, probably slip-coated and tin-glazed on the exterior; more thinly glazed on the interior. Painted in blue, green, yellow, and manganese.
Pear-shaped body curving outwards slightly towards the base. The neck and mouth are missing and the handle is broken off above the junction of its lower end with the body.
On the front, within an oval frame of blue and yellow lines, is a stylized plant with a fig or pomegranate flanked by curving stems bearing a three-petalled flower. On each side, between vertical blue lines, there is blue trellis diaper with manganese spots in the spaces. The handle is flanked by vertical manganese lines, and there is a horizontal manganese band above the base. At the bottom of the handle there is a rough horizontal green line, a manganese line and, below, a manganese `.M.'.
