Buff earthenware, tin-glazed greyish-white overall; the reverse tinged with dark pink in several places. Painted in blue, green, yellow, orange, and opaque white.
Shape 50. Circular with a slight depression in the middle. The plate has warped during firing.
The central medallion contains a beribboned shield charged with the arms argent, a fess gules (shown orange) between three crescents vert, two and one, a chief of Anjou, surrounded by blue concentric circles and radiating petals in bianco sopra bianco. Round the rim is a blue border comprising four concentric circles of different widths, a band of lozenges with dots in the spaces, and narrow and wide concentric circles. On the back, interlacing blue petal outlines radiate from the base.
