Description

Maiolica bowl, painted blue, green, yellow and orange, with a bust of a young woman.

Buff earthenware, tin-glazed overall. Painted in blue, green, yellow, and orange.
Shape 77. Circular with shallow curving sides, standing on a narrow footring.
In the middle, a bust of a young woman faces in profile to right surrounded by a T-shaped area of blue shading. The monogram IS or `S' crossed by a stroke is in front of her. Below the rim is a border of blue and yellow dots between blue bands, and blue slanting dashes between blue bands. The rim is yellow.
