Description

Mummy, with cartonnage and mummy portrait. The mummy is that of a young man. Recent CT scans have shown damage to the spine and pelvic area, suggesting that internal organs were removed through these areas. The body was wrapped some time after his death resulting in severe deformation. To support the shape, two wooden boards the length of the body were included in the wrappings.
