Clay cup with red wash on the outside.
Clay cup with red wash on the outside. The vessel was wheelmade as can be seen from the rings on the inside. The clay used is called Aswan clay and it light, pickish colour (as seen from the inside) is typical. This type of clay is very smooth and is still exported from Aswan to other parts of Egypt today.
