Clay bowl
Clay bowl, with floral decoration around rim in red-brown paint.
Clay bowl or cup made from Aswan clay and fired with a buff coloured wash. There are bands of red and brown decoration in the form of buds, perhaps a schematic representation of vine leaves. The vessel was made on a wheel as indicated by the ridges on the inside. this type of pottery was used from day to day, but this example, in its complete state, was most likely found in a tomb.
