Sandstone statue
Sandstone statue of a standing female figure wearing long garment, head missing.
Sandstone statue of a female figure. the head is now missing. the figure stands and wears a long dress, which is tied below the waist and exposes her breasts. This suggests that the image represents a fertility goddess, perhaps Isis. Only the left breast survives; the stone is damaged on the right side. The feet are carved in a simple fashion and the base is uneven and stands with the weight towards the back. It seems likely that this statue served as a cult statue in a Nubian temple or chapel. Its exact findspot is unknown. There are traces of red paint on the arms and visible breast.
