Wooden face from a coffin made from a single piece of wood. The face is incomplete and there are sections missing from the proper left side. There are some remnants of paint on the surface. At the top of the face is a large dovetail used to attach the face to the wig. There is a concave recess on the reverse of the face. The border around this recess is coated in a layer of animal glue which contains fibres.
