Description

Carved lion's head, with prominent mane. Incised decoration used to highlight specific features, particularly the mane. Pierced at top, likely for suspension. Traces of blue pigment cover much of the surface of the object. An unknown green material can be seen on the right side of the head, at the hole. Originally labelled as faience, however its appearance is more resemblant of wood.
