Steatite scarab
Steatite scarab with traces of glaze, resin and wax on the surface. The base is inscribed with scene of two male figures drinking from a wine vessel, using straws. The enlarged phallus and the headress on the figures suggests that they represent the god Bes. The scarab is pierced lengthways through the centre.
