Part of a headress from a Ptah-Sokar-Osiris figure, consisting of plumes, and a disc. The horns (though depicted in the slipbook) are missing, but it is possible that E.GA.551.1947 originally went with this. Around the sun disc, there are faint traces of yellow paints, and visible 'black' detailing (in the form of diagonal stripes) on the feathers, indicate the use of a copper-based pigment which has since 'eaten' away at the wood. Two square tenons are visible on the base of the plumes which would attach to the horns. A similar example to this piece is W2062 (Egypt Centre) which also employs a similar colouration scheme, where the sun disc is presented in yellow, and green stripes are visible.
