Description

Bronze shabti, cast and then inscribed with single line of inscription down the front identifying the owner as Wendjebaendjed, a general, dignitary, and high priest under Psusennes I. A basket, and two plummets are visible on the back of the shabti. Found at Tanis, where his tomb is located. Other bronze examples from his tomb can be found in the Metropolitan Museum and in the British Museum.
