Head of Thérèse Degas, profile to L. Study of draped figure and a detail of drapery
Draughtsman: Degas, Edgar
History note: Guiot; Sir T.D. Barlow; A.S.F. Gow
Height: 285 mm
Width: 236 mm
Method of acquisition: Bequeathed (1978-02-08) by Gow, A. S. F.
Study on verso appears to be of a bare-footed monk, reading. It is probably a copy of a painting, but a virtual replica of it is in th collection of Maurice Exsteens, who suggests that the drawing is from a model.
