Wooden fragment from the coffin of an unknown woman. The fragment is made of sycomore fig and most probably comes from the side panel of a box coffin. Patches of sycomore fig are pinned in place on the fragment using sidr and acacia dowels. The interior is inscribed with the Coffin Texts arranged in vertical columns. The exterior is painted with yellow earth, the text applied in Egyptian blue and outlined in carbon-based black. The interior bears delicate bands of red and blue hieroglyphs, with black dividing lines.
