Description

Bronze amphora decorated with champleve enamel. There are seven friezes running round the vase. Starting from the neck downward. These are:
(1) leaves set upright on red enamel (probably olive)
(2) wave pattern on green enamel
(3) laurel wreath on red enamel
(4) vine scroll with birds on orange enamel
(5) lozenge checker of red, green and orange in three horizontal bands
(6) laurel wreath on red enamel
(7) vine scroll of leaves and grapes on red enamel.
The handles terminate in spur shaped ornament and below in a leaf. On the outside side of the handles, there is a 'V' shaped pattern of alternate green and red enamel. On the base are concentric circles
