Fritware incised and painted in five colours under a clear glaze
Fritware, wheel made with incised decoration and painted in blue, red, yellow, black and green under a clear, slightly crazed glaze
Shape: hemispherical bowl with a slightly out-turned rim on a narrow foot ring
Interior: around the rim a frieze of blue petals and stylised stems with green and yellow leaves interspersed with red dots. Painted in the roundel and enclosed within two blue concentric lines, a polychrome floral spray framed by two green ‘saz’ style leaves.
Exterior: on the rim a repeating frieze of three black semi-circles with red central dot is reserved in blue and yellow. On the body inter-locking palmette medallions outlined in green and black contain incised lozenges and a dotted pine stem in yellow, black and red. Glaze covers the exterior surface including the underside of the foot ring.
