Fritware painted in black and blue under a transparent white glaze
Fritware, wheel thrown, painted in black and blue under a transparent white glaze
Shape: bi-conical bowl with a plain rim, sits on a low foot ring
Interior: a dentilated black band is painted on the rim. On the body radiating triangular panels, alternately highlighted with blue contain an inscription(scratched through the pigment) or blue arabesque respectively. Between the panels three stylised black leaf sprays are painted in a vertical linear band.
Exterior: on the rim a black band is painted, while on the body black waterweeds form a horizontal frieze. Glaze runs over the lower body and foot ring, with spots of glaze on the underside of the base.
