Fritware, painted in blue under a turquoise glaze

Fritware, wheel thrown, painted in dark blue under a turquoise glaze
Shape: rolled rim on a straight neck on an inverted pear-shaped body, sits on a low foot ring
Exterior: a pair of concentric lines is painted on the neck, while on the shoulder a concentric line is crossed through with diagonal lines. On the body, a frieze of triangles divided by diagonal lines and containing solid triangles hang from a concentric line. These triangles are separated by juxtaposed pseudo-tassel marks. A further pair of concentric lines is painted roughly on the lower body. The glaze covers the body irregularly leaving small areas uncovered; glaze runs unevenly over the lower body, partially covering the foot ring with a thinner coverage on the underside.
