Earthenware jug with applied white classical reliefs, copper lustre ground, and pink lustre border, inscribed 'T B/Jefus Lane/Cambridge/1820' in purple enamel in a reserve on the front.
Red earthenware, with applied white reliefs and white slip-coated interior, decorated with copper (gold) lustre, pink lustre, and purple enamel. The jug has curved sides, slight shoulders and a vertical neck with a fluted projecting lip on one side and a moulded handle on the other. Under the spout there is an oval panel with a raised edge and on each side, an applied classical relief. On each side of the neck there is a spray of stylised leaves and buds reserved by a resist process in a pink lustre ground, and the front panel is inscribed 'T B/Jefus Lane/Cambridge/1820' in purple enamel.
