Description

Red earthenware, decorated on each side with a fern-frond reserved in a white slip ground by the resist method, under yellow lead glaze. Pear-shaped with a short neck and two loop handles.

Notes

History note: Given about 1904 to Dr Glaisher by Professor and Mrs T. McKenny Hughes of Cambridge, who obtained it when they visited the Ewenny Pottery.
