Susan's Farewell
Factory: uncertain
Creamware, transfer-printed in black. Oviform with curved projecting lip, and loop handle. Decorated on one side with a woman standing on the shore, waving a handkerchief with her right hand towards a ship, with two more in the distance. Below are the words 'SUSAN'S FAREWELL:/Adieu she cry'd and wav'd her Lily Hand'. On the other side there is a frigate flying the Brtish flag with an anchor, canon and drum in the foreground.
