Earthenware, coated in a white slip. Painted on the interior in three colours under a clear glaze; turquoise glazed exterior.
Earthenware, probably wheel thrown, coated in a white slip. Painted on the interior in black, blue and green under a clear glaze and with a turquoise glazed exterior.
Shape: lightly carinated bowl with a flange rim, sits on a disc base
Interior: radiating from a central polychrome rosette, a swirling pattern of blue vegetal fronds is separated by off-white curving lines, all reserved in blue. A narrow band of blurred, blue scrolling vegetation is painted on the neck, while on the rim a wider band of scrolling half palmettes is outlined in green and reserved in blue. Glaze forms droplets on one section of the rim, three scars from a tripod staking device used in the kiln are evident on the base.
Exterior: Undecorated except for turquoise glaze, which terminates unevenly on the lower body.
