Fritware, coated in a white glaze painted under or over the glaze with blue and lustre
Fritware, wheel thrown, coated in a white glaze painted under or over the glaze with blue and lustre.
Shape: hemispherical bowl, sits on a low foot ring
Interior: rim is painted with a lustre band. On the body a frieze of horizontal bands of blue and lustre, topped with vertical dashes, alternate with dotted lustre stars. On the base a bird is reserved in lustre, a lustre scroll is painted on the right hand side.
Exterior: lustre band continues on the rim, on the upper body an inscription is painted in lustre. Glaze covers the lower body unevenly, running onto the foot ring in places.
