Silver lustre two-handled goblet
Dark red-grey earthenware, thrown and moulded parts applied then dipped in silver (platinum) lustre.
Goblet entirely covered in silver lustre. Semi-oviform body with chamfered edge to inside of rim, standing on a spreading foot. Two loop handles, each with a small thumb piece. The underside is indented and lustred, with a narrow foot-rim.
History note: Bought from Morley, Cambridge, on 10 September 1904, for ten shillings, by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, Trinity College, Cambridge.
