Fritware coated in a blue glaze painted with lustre
Fritware, wheel thrown, coated in a blue glaze painted with lustre
Shape: hemispherical bowl with slightly everted rim, sits on a narrow, flaring foot ring.
Interior: the rim is painted with a lustre band. On the body two roundels filled with jewel like motifs are surrounded by panels, containing lustre dots and scrolls, and diagonal lustre lines.
Exterior: lustre band on the rim and dots or dashes of lustre on the body, glaze is slightly pitted and runs over the surface evenly terminating on the foot ring.
