Fritware, mould made, coated in a white glaze painted in lustre
Shape: bulbous, roughly spherical body with cylindrical collared neck ascending onto a lobbed cup shape mouth. Sits on a wide, slightly flaring foot ring.
Exterior: the rim is painted with semi-circles in lustre, while on the mouth lobes are painted with human faces. On the body four large circular medallions contain seated figures wearing dotted robes on a lustred ground containing lobbed leaves. These medallions are painted on a background of scrolling stems and half-palmettes, a pattern which is mirrored on the neck. An irregular line of blue is painted on the lower body. Glaze runs over the lower body, terminating unevenly on the foot ring.
Interior: lustre decoration continues on the rim. The mouth is partially glazed, otherwise undecorated.
