Pottery: Unidentified Bristol pottery
Buff stoneware, thrown, with dark brown dip on the upper half of the body and handle, and on the inside of the rim. Cylindrical with a pinched lip at the front, and a strap handle with two longitudinal ridges, and a folded in kick at the lower end. Impressed on the front is the name 'T. Wyatt' over the date '1769'.
History note: Mr Sheldon, St Paul's Road, Manchester from who purchased on 12 May 1925 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge.
