Fritware, coated in a whtie glaze painted in blue, turquoise and black
Fritware, wheel thrown, coated in a thick white, slightly crazed glaze painted in the glaze in blue and turquoise and over the glaze in black.
Shape: hemispherical bowl with slightly out-turned, collared rim sitting on a foot ring
Interior: blue dentilated pattern painted on the rim under which a band of blue calligraphy is interspersed with turquoise and black contoured fillers, all enclosed within two blue concentric lines. On the body, a blue linear geometric pattern, imitating a book cover, contains black or black and turquoise fillers.
Exterior: a blue line is painted on the rim. On the upper body, a band of black Arabic script (cursive) is painted. Glaze runs unevenly over the foot ring. Glaze also present on the underside of the foot ring
