Pottery: unidentified London pottery
Buff earthenware, tin-glazed, and painted in blue. Circular with a narrow sloping rim, curved sides and flat centre. Decorated in the middle with three stylized flowers (perhaps irises) and two long jagged leaves, and round the rim with four four-petalled flowerheads alternating with four groups of three leaf tips. A pair with C.1362B-1928
History note: From an unidentified village near Cambridge; Mr Morley, a Cambridge dealer, from whom purchased in 1893 or 1894 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
