Pottery: unidentified London pottery
Earthenware, the front tin-glazed painted in pale yellowish-green, yellow, and brownish-orange with fruit and foliage and with blue dasheson the edge; the reverse, lead-glazed
Buff earthenware, the front tin-glazed painted in pale yellowish-green, yellow, and brownish-orange; the reverse, coated with pale slip and covered with pale yellow lead-glaze tinged with green in many places. Circular with curved sides, standing on a footring. In the middle there is a circular medallion containing a parti-coloured leaf and fruits. This is surrounded by four compartments containing similar leaves and fruit. Round the edge there is a yellow line and blue dashes.
History note: Unknown vendor in Cambridge; S. Fenton of Cranbourne Street, London from whom purchased for £2.10s.0d. on 27 May 1907 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, Trinity College, Cambridge
