Pottery: unidentified London pottery
Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, yellowish-green, yellow, brownish-orange and manganee-purple with three tulips springing from a mound; blue dash border
Buff earthenware, the front tin-glazed and painted in blue, yellowish-green, yellow, brownish-orange and manganese-purple; the reverse covered with clear lead-glaze with greenish areas. Circular with a wide sloping rim and shallow well, standing on a footring. The front is decorated with three tulips and foliage springing from a low conical mound, surrounded by a blue band, a wider yellow band and blue dashes.
History note: Unknown owner in neighbourhood of Cambridge; Mr Jolly, Cambridge from whom purchased on 11 June, 1902 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge.
