Description

Earthenware, tin-glazed pale blue and painted in blue, yellow, and orange (or dark yellow). Circular with a narrow sloping rim and shallow well. In the middle, on the left is a long bust of Mary II and on the right William II. She has a yellow crown and sash, and he has a yellow and orange crown, and a dark yellow sash. Between them are the initials 'W MR' (MR joined), enclosed by two concentric narrow blue circles

History note: Purchased in Lowestoft by Mr Stoner; bought from him for £4 on 4 November 1908, by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher in London in 1908
