Buff earthenware, tin-glazed and painted in blue, olive-green, yellow, orange, and red, Circular with a steeply sloping rim, deep curved sides and flat centre. Decorated in the centre with a rose spray, a thistle spray and a crown glanked by the initials, 'A R', enclosed by two narrow concentric blue circles. On the sides and rim there are two narrow blue circles, an orange between two wider yellow circles, and one blue circle.
