Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, green and manganese-purple with a tulip and stylized foliage; reverse lead-glazed
Buff earthenware, the front tin-glazed, and painted in blue, pale bluish-green, and pale manganese-purple; the reverse, lead-glazed yellow with radiating streaks. Circular with shallow curved sides and slightly everted rim, standing on a footring pierced by a suspension hole. The front is decorated with a central tulip with on each side of it, four leaves of alternate colours on stems springing from a green mound. Round the rim there are two blue bands.
History note: Not known, but probably bought at Cambridge before 1908 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
