Fritware coated in a turquoise glaze painted in blue and red and gilded
Buff fritware, moulded, coated in a turquoise glaze painted in the glaze in blue and over the glaze in red and blue and leaf gilding.
Shape: flaring rim on an inverted pear shaped neck sitting on a collar that descends onto a bulbous body with slight carination, all on a wide low foot ring.
Exterior: all over the body designs are outlined in red with gilding and blue dots and lines. Similar designs are painted on the neck and body, both of which incorporate horizontal calligraphic bands, framed by concentric lines, delimiting broad friezes of vertical arabesques including flower heads. Turquoise glaze runs over the lower body onto the foot ring.
Interior: on the rim further red paint and gilding are visible. Glaze covers rim and runs over the upper neck
