Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, green, yellow, dark yellow, and manganese purple with tulips and carnations growing from a mound; blue dash border

Eathenware, the front tin-glazed creamy-white, and painted in blue, pale green, yellow, dark yellow, and manganese-purple; the reverse, covered with very slightly greenish lead-glaze containing tin which forms radiating streaks. Circular, with deep curved sides standing on a wide shallow footring. The front is decorated with tulips, carnations, and fritillaries on branching stems of foliage springing from a low mound; on the edge there is a yellow band, two narrow blue bands, and closely-set blue dashes.
