Description

Teabowl and Saucer. Hard-paste porcelain, fluted, and painted in famille rose enamels with a lakeside scene of figures, sampans and a boy riding a water-buffalo.

Teabowl and Saucer. Hard-paste porcelain, fluted, and painted in a bold enamel palette of dark pink, turquoise, blue, aubergine, green, iron-red and black. Each piece has a barbed rim and sides divided into numerous vertical petal-like flutes decorated with figures watching sampans being poled across a river. There is a boy in the foreground riding on the back of a water-buffalo.
