Description

Small casserole and cover of hard-paste porcelain painted in enamels with flowers; wooden handle

Hard-paste porcelain painted in blue, green, yellow, pink, and red enamels, and gilded; turned wooden handle. The circular lower part has a curved sides, and a projecting socket into which the turned wooden handle is secured by a pin. The cover is slightly domed, and has a button knob. Both pieces are decorated with one large, and two smaller floral sprays. There is a plain gold band round the base, a dentilated gold band round the rim of both pieces, a gold 'daisy' on the knob, and two bands round the socket.
