Earthenware, slipped and burnished
Earthenware hard fired, probably hand made and tooled, possibly slipped and burnished.
Shape: oval shape with one end pointed and the other moulded into a face shape. The rim is plain on a body with straight sides except for two ribs at a central point, sits on an irregular foot ring base.
Exterior: The vessel is undecorated with evidence of slipping and burnishing but no remnants of any surface glaze.
Interior: undecorated
