Fritware coated in white slip and painted in brown and green under a clear glaze
Pinkish fritware, probably wheel thrown, coated in a white slip and painted in brown and green under a clear glaze.
Shape: segmental bowl with slightly angled plain rim sitting on a low, wide foot ring
Interior: covering the entire surface oval cartouche outlined in green containing brown ‘wave scrolls’ in between which are small irregular areas of brown cross hatching. On the rim, half cartouche alternate with whole cartouche, whereas on the body in the spaces between whole cartouche, further brown ‘wave scrolls’ are painted.
Exterior: on the body a frieze of scallops and spirals are painted in brown and highlighted with green. The glaze is slightly pitted and covers the surface except for the rim of the foot ring.
