Fritware, carved and coated in a turquoise glaze
Fritware, probably wheel thrown but carved on the body, coated in a turquoise glaze.
Shape: globular body on a low foot ring ascends via a carination to a tubular neck that narrows slightly to an everted bead rim.
Exterior: on the shoulder oval lozenges are carved into the surface providing a faceted effect. Coated in a turquoise glaze, which covers the surface to the lower body and runs unevenly over the foot ring.
Interior: the neck is coated with glaze, otherwise undecorated.
