Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue with a man leading a little girl and an inscription
Buff earthenware, tin-glazed bluish-white and painted in blue, and reddish-brown. Cylindrical with a slight skirt and recessed base, with an applied strap handle of oval section with pinched termina. The exterior is decorated with a man leading a little girl through a landscape, with above, 'MARY TURNER AGD 2 YEARS/14 DAYS SEPr 2 1752' (r raised). The back of the handle is decorated with strapwork and three buds or leaves. The rim is banded in reddish-brown
