Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, green, yellow and manganese-purple with Adam and Eve beside the Tree of Knowledge

Buff earthenware, tin-glazed and blackish-blue, greyish-green, dull yellow, and manganese-purple, and sponged in blackish-blue. Circular with deep curved sides, and everted rim, standing on a footring. The front is decorated with with Adam and Eve standing on either side of the Tree of Knowledge around which a serpent is entwined. The rim is encircled by two narrow blue bands and blue dashes.
