Dish: George I
Pottery: Norfolk House (Possibly)
Tin-glazed earthenware dish painted with a king, probably George I, crowned, and carrying an orb and sceptre, standing between sponged trees; blue dash border.
Earthenware, tin-glazed bluish-white on the front, painted in blue, green, yellow, and red, and sponged in green; the back covered with bluish-grey tin-glaze with blue speckles. Circular with deep curved sides and everted rim, standing on a footring. Painted in the middle with a standing king, probably George I, crowned, and wearing coronation robes, and holding an orb in his right hand and a sceptre in his left. On either side are sponged three-tiered trees with pairs of groups of three red strokes at the bottom and between the tiers. The edge is encircled by two narrow blue bands, and blue dashes.
