Tin-glazed earthenware painted in polychrome with geometrical and floral motifs
Buff earthenware, tin-glazed bluish-white and painted in blue, green, yellow, red, and manganese-purple. Circular wth slightly sloping rim, shallow curved sides and flat centre with a recessed base. Decorated n the centre with a flower inside a seven-sided motif with projecting flowers and leaves. The rim has four floral sprays alternating with four semi-circles with projecting panels and leaves pointing towards the centre.

The pattern on this plate iis known as ‘Ann Gomm pattern’ after the name ( in capital letters) on three similar plates dated 1793. Fragments of many plates decorated with it were found at Lambeth by F.H. Garner.
